One of a kind loose, kimono inspired, jacket with large patch pockets. Rich handwoven texture, fringe hem and beautiful wabi sabi details throughout make this a stand out jacket. Wear it on it's own or layered.
Made with vintage Baoule textile from Cote d'Ivoire, West Africa. This is an ikat strip cloth, meaning the pattern is achieved by tie-dying the threads before weaving. It's then woven in small strips that are joined together to make a small sarong like cloth that is just enough for one piece of clothing, this one. Imperfections, distress patterns, small holes or stains are common features of this beautiful and storied fabric.
